Effects of Irrigation and Nitrogen Fertilizer on Soil Carbon Leaching in Cotton Fields in Arid Areas

چکیده

In order to formulate a reasonable water input model for cotton fields in southern Xinjiang scientific and rational fertilization, reduce soil carbon leaching, improve sequestration capacity, an undisturbed column leaching test was used simulate the current field management method study area. Two methods, drip irrigation flood irrigation, were set up, three nitrogen fertilizer levels carry out test. The results showed that amount mode of affected distribution loss organic inorganic soil. When application rate increased from 270 kg·hm−2 450 kg·hm−2, soluble significantly. 6000 m3·hm−2 9000 m3·hm−2, DOC DIC under higher than irrigation. rates fastest conditions high (9000 m3·hm−2) (450 kg·hm−2). This shows methods are important factors affecting leaching. case excessive input, long-term high-frequency is main factor

The Effects of Manure and Nitrogen Fertilizer Applications on Soil Organic Carbon and Nitrogen in a High-Input Cropping System

With the goal of improving N fertilizer management to maximize soil organic carbon (SOC) storage and minimize N losses in high-intensity cropping system, a 6-years greenhouse vegetable experiment was conducted from 2004 to 2010 in Shouguang, northern China. Treatment tested the effects of organic manure and N fertilizer on SOC, total N (TN) pool and annual apparent N losses. The results demonst...

abstract reception environment has considerable effects on accepting a translation. as the expectations of a target culture and its values and needs change throughout history, its criteria for accepting a translation or rejecting it will change accordingly (gentzler, 2001). the expectations of iran, as the reception environment in the present study, have changed after the islamic revolution. i...

Nitrogen fertilizer effects on soil carbon balances in midwestern U.S. agricultural systems.

A single ecosystem dominates the Midwestern United States, occupying 26 million hectares in five states alone: the corn-soybean agroecosystem [Zea mays L.-Glycine max (L.) Merr.]. Nitrogen (N) fertilization could influence the soil carbon (C) balance in this system because the corn phase is fertilized in 97-100% of farms, at an average rate of 135 kg N x ha(-1) x yr(-1). We evaluated the impact...

Tillage, cropping systems, and nitrogen fertilizer source effects on soil carbon sequestration and fractions.

Quantification of soil carbon (C) cycling as influenced by management practices is needed for C sequestration and soil quality improvement. We evaluated the 10-yr effects of tillage, cropping system, and N source on crop residue and soil C fractions at 0- to 20-cm depth in Decatur silt loam (clayey, kaolinitic, thermic, Typic Paleudults) in northern Alabama, USA. Treatments were incomplete fact...
